Check
out these great DVDs from La Habana. I recommend Rumbón
Tropical, which includes greats such as Miguel Angel Mesa,
Mario 'Aspirina' Jáuregui, Santa Cruz, Maximino, Ernesto
'El Gato', among others. Another excellent title from Boogalu
is Rumbambeo,
which features Juan de Diós Ramos, Guillermo 'El Negro'
Triana, and Domingo Pau.

God
Bless Pancho Quinto! Iba E.
I
am saddened by the loss of great personal friend and timbero,
Francisco Mora. On top of being a percussive genius, he was
a truly marvelous human being. I will always remember him as
full of humor and antics, yet extremely humble and sincerely
interested in those around him.
